Creator Spotlight: Danté ‘Barry Allen’ — oWc, Gaming & a SweyVision Connection

SweyVision is putting the Creator Spotlight on Danté, known online as oWcFLaSH and ‘Barry Allen,’ a longtime gamer, streamer, collector, DC/Marvel enthusiast, and founder of the gaming clan oWc — Opposite Worlds Collide.

The oWc story reaches back to the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live clan era. Archived posts from the WORLDS COLLIDE account show the group active around 2012, promoting its clan website, interacting with members, and sharing gaming activity. Danté’s archived profile identifies him as the founder of oWc, short for ‘[o]pposite [W]orlds [c]ollide.’

Danté also built a long-running streaming presence under oWcFLaSH. Third-party Twitch tracking records the channel dating to December 2012, with more than 1,000 streams and thousands of hours streamed in its tracked history. Archived social posts also show oWcFLaSH being promoted live on Twitch playing games including Soulcalibur.

The SweyCannon Connection

One of the most interesting pieces of oWc history is its early connection with SweyCannon. An archived WORLDS COLLIDE post from roughly 14 years ago publicly thanked @SweyCannon for ‘the help nd support’ during a period when the group was posting about its website being nearly ready and everything coming together. Another archived post credited SweyCannon with creating a logo for an earlier clan within Danté’s gaming circle.

The surviving posts don't document every detail of what SweyCannon contributed to oWc, so we don't want to overstate it. But they do show something important: the connection between SweyCannon and Danté’s gaming community goes back to the early Xbox clan era.

That makes this Creator Spotlight different. SweyVision and Danté aren't simply crossing paths for the first time today. There is a documented creative and gaming-community connection stretching back more than a decade — from the days of Xbox clans, websites and logo designs to Twitch streaming and the creator world that followed.
